The congress or members of the chamber are the most important component that makes the KACCIMA chamber of commerce. The membership comprising people in different trades ranging from Businessmen, Trader, Industrialist, Artisans, Specialist etc. must be inspired and committed to the affairs and activities of the chamber.
Criteria for registration as KACCIMA member :
Should be sole business entity, a cooperative society, a limited liability compamy or public company.
Should be sponsored by two financial members or a council member.
Should complete membership application form and attach copies of relevant douments, as listed below.
Should pay registration fee once only and the subscrition fee annually.
A cover letter on company letter-head.
a crossed cheque covering the Registration and Annual Subscription fess.
A copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
A photocopy of certificate of registration of business name.
A photocopy of the certificate of Business Premises registration
2 passport photographs each of the Chief Executive and Representative.
The Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) are the organizes of each year Trade Fair which is staged with the support and cooperation of the Federal and State Governments which will cover all aspects of business and economic activities in Nigeria. It offer a, unique exposition for manufacturers, supplier, buyers, and users of wide range of goods and services as well as opportunities for investment promotion.
The Fair attracts a wide range of people within and outside the country including businessmen, investors, customers, top government officials and representative of Nigeria's important trading houses and those seeking joint venture partnership. Further more, eminent dignitaries, decision makers, and economic/business consultants from all Nigeria will visit the fair on a daily basis throughout it's duration. Numerous States Government, Federal/State Government agencies and foreign Embassies wil also be in attendance. The fair serve as an avenue to get to the enormous business opportunities and environment existing in Kano in particular and Nigeria in general.
The main objective of the fair are :
To promote revitalization and diversification of the Nigerian Economy.
To promote Nigeria's non-oil exports.
To promote accelerated development of Commerce and Industry.
To promote Made-in-Nigeria goods.
To promote agriculture and agro-based industry.
To spotlight the evolution of the Nigeria's Trade with the outside world.
To direct attention to the role of private sector in the Nigerian economy, and
To indiccate prospects for foreign and local private investment in strategic areas.
Exhibitions are one of the most effective fora for establishing and maintaining customer relations. In an increasingly digital age, they are the only media where buyer, seller, and product physically come together- a potent force for business.In respect to Kano, exhibitions are welcome because, Kano is the commerical nerve centre of the northern state of Nigeria and by no less a business focal point in the country and by extension in the continent of Africa.

The Kano Chamnber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) has series of activities, which includes:
Representative Forum: The Chamber plays an important role in the development of commerce and industry in Kano state. It provides common contact and a representative forum for members to exchange ideas concerning the industrial and business operation in the state. Issues raised in such a forum are place before the government through a written memorandum. It speaks with one voice on matters of local, regional and national importance. This role of the Chmaber as the mouth-piece of the organised private sector in the state is well recognised by the government, hence it's continued inclusion in most activities, including committees set up by the government to look into matters affecting business and the people of Kano State as a whole.
Liaison Function: The Chamber meets and periodically liaises with senior government officials with a view to seeking solutions to problems confronting it's members and the general public. These activities help in maintaining good relationship between the public and private sectors.
Seminars/Conferences: The Chamber organises seminars and workshops in order to educate the members on topical issues and during such occasions, expert opinion on issues are held and forward to the authorities concerned.
It also publishes and issues such periodicals, books and circular that may be interest to it's members and the general public.
Organising Trade Mission and arranging meeting with foriegn and local trade delegattions visiting kano and Nigeria as a whole.
Liaison with the Nigeria Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and other similar organisations on matters of national and regional interests.
Issuing certificate of origin to organisations engaged in export activities.
Organisation of Made-in-Nigeria Trade fairs and exhibitions for the promotion of goods and services.
Assist members by issuing letters of introduction to foreign and local business partners as well as in securing visa for business trips.
