Chamber Activity


The Kano Chamnber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) has series of activities, which includes:

  1. Representative Forum: The Chamber plays an important role in the development of commerce and industry in Kano state. It provides common contact and a representative forum for members to exchange ideas concerning the industrial and business operation in the state. Issues raised in such a forum are place before the government through a written memorandum. It speaks with one voice on matters of local, regional and national importance. This role of the Chmaber as the mouth-piece of the organised private sector in the state is well recognised by the government, hence it's continued inclusion in most activities, including committees set up by the government to look into matters affecting business and the people of Kano State as a whole.
  2. Liaison Function: The Chamber meets and periodically liaises with senior government officials with a view to seeking solutions to problems confronting it's members and the general public. These activities help in maintaining good relationship between the public and private sectors.
  3. Seminars/Conferences: The Chamber organises seminars and workshops in order to educate the members on topical issues and during such occasions, expert opinion on issues are held and forward to the authorities concerned.
  4. It also publishes and issues such periodicals, books and circular that may be interest to it's members and the general public.
  5. Organising Trade Mission and arranging meeting with foriegn and local trade delegattions visiting kano and Nigeria as a whole.
  6. Liaison with the Nigeria Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and other similar organisations on matters of national and regional interests.
  7. Issuing certificate of origin to organisations engaged in export activities.
  8. Organisation of Made-in-Nigeria Trade fairs and exhibitions for the promotion of goods and services.
  9. Assist members by issuing letters of introduction to foreign and local business partners as well as in securing visa for business trips.
